The Smashing Pumpkins
When I first tried this,it got erased so I'm not in the mood to make it lengthy.Maybe later I'll have the patience to make a more detailed bio,but for now,it's all newbie information.
1988:Billy Corgan,Darcy Wretsky,James Iha,and a drun machine formed The Smashing Pumpkins.Later,Jimmy Chamberlin joined.
1991:released 'Gish'.Singles were 'I Am One','Siva',and 'Rhinoceros'.
1993:released 'Siamese Dream'.Singles were 'Cherub Rock','Today','Disarm',and 'Rocket'.
1994:released b-sides/rarities 'Pisces Iscariot' and home video 'Vieuphoria'.
1995:released double CD 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'.Singles were 'Tonight,Tonight','Zero','Bullet With Butterfly Wings','1979',and 'Thirty Three'.
1996:released boxset of Mellon Collie singles 'The Aeroplabe Flies High'.Also,Jimmy was fired for overdosing.
1998:released 'Adore',with just the three members.
1999:Darcy quit,was replaced by Melissa Auf der Maur,and Jimmy Chamberlin was re-hired.
2000:released 'MACHINA/the machines of God' and plans to quit by year's end.Also,they released 25 MACHINA-session songs over the internet called 'MACHINA 2/the friends and enemies of modern music'.On December 02,they played their last show.
2001:released Greatest Hits with limited edition bonus disc 'Judas O',b-sides and rarities.Also released DVD of their videos,outtakes,and extra goodies.
2001:Billy forms ZWAN with Jimmy Chamberlin,"Skullfisher" and Matt something.They played their first show November 16th.
